Learning an instrument is a rewarding journey, and having the right instrument from the beginning can make a significant difference to a student’s progress, confidence and enjoyment.
 

Students should have regular access to their own instrument, as consistent practice between lessons is essential. Guitar, flute, violin and cello students should bring their instrument to each lesson. Piano students do not need to bring an instrument, but having a suitable piano or digital piano at home is equally important.
 

Instruments come in different sizes, types and levels of quality, so choosing the right one is important for comfort, technique and progress.
