Teaching Openings at LPSM

Leeson Park School of Music is looking for enthusiastic, friendly, and engaging teachers to join our experienced team from September 2026.
 

We are currently recruiting for a range of part-time teaching roles. Whether you're interested in teaching one programme or a combination of several, we'd love to hear from you.

Music Kindgergarten (0-3)

Share the joy of music with our youngest learners and their parents or guardians. These fun, interactive classes introduce children to the world of music through singing, movement, rhythm activities, musical games, and exploration, helping children develop:

​

  • A love and appreciation of music

  • Concentration

  • Coordination

  • Language skills

  • Self-confidence

  • Emotional well-being

​​​

In these classes, children are accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Pre-Instrumental (4-7)

Our two-year Pre-Instrumental programme provides children with a strong musical foundation before they begin formal instrumental study. Classes include:

​

  • Singing and vocal development using our Singing Rascals books

  • Beat, rhythm, pulse, and solfa

  • Unaccompanied singing

  • Rhythm games

  • Creative movement and dance

  • Playing tuned and untuned percussion instruments

  • Listening to live and recorded music

  • Performing, composing, and improvising​​​

Musicianship / Music Theory (8-16)

Teach engaging group music theory classes that support students learning an instrument at Leeson Park School of Music. Lessons follow our own Musicianship workbooks, helping students to:

  • Develop confidence and musical understanding

  • Progress faster on their instrument

  • Build strong aural and music reading skills

  • Enjoy a more rewarding learning experience

  • Develop social and musical skills through working in a group
