LPSM General info & Policies
Getting to the school ➡️
Driving + Parking
LPSM Parking is available behind the church for €5/day with a parking permit. Permits are available from the office. NB: Permits must be displayed along with a physical ticket from the machine and can not be paid for using the app!
Cycling
Bikes can be stored behind the side gate. If not open when you arrive please ask for the key in the office. NB: Bikes cannot be brought through or stored in the school.
Public Transport
Charlemont Luas is 5 mins walk away. Bus stops on the mainroad are stop 1017 (southbound) and stop 4528 (northbound).
What if I'm running late?
Call the office as soon as you know you are delayed. We will contact the students.
Student safety is our top priority, always ➡️
You will meet your students in the hall the first week!
This welcomes them and shows them where to meet you theeach week. Note: Remind them to meet in the classroomthe following week.
Where should my students go at the end of a lesson?
Remind students to go back to the hall each week to meet their parent or wait.
If A student is late
Please come check in the hall for them (A little proactive care goes a long way).
During class time
Students must always be supervised by a teacher.
Creating a welcoming environment
A calm start sets a lesson up for success
Aim to arrive with enough time to set up your room and get settled and ready for your first student!
Don’t be a stranger
Pop your head into the office and say Hi when you arrive! A quick hello makes a big difference for smooth operations and a friendly atmosphere.
Keep our entrance clear for families
No smoking or vaping inside or directly outside the premises (door or gate). Please move away from the building.
Keeping our spaces great
Ensuring our teaching spaces are clean & welcoming
Please leave your room as you found it (or better)! No eating or drinking in teaching rooms (water is fine!) You will have a small hatch in the staff room for any books you need to store.
Make our shared space pleasant for everyone
Our staff room downstairs has a comfy spot for your lunch. Just like the teaching rooms, please leave the staff room as you found it! Used dishes & cutlery go straight into the dishwasher.
